	Hi!
</p>

<p>
	I noticed I typed a fixture's model name wrong and afterwards also a revision name wrong (confusing btw. with revision number, revision name and also a version number?). But, if I stored a fixture profile and I want to remove it, because proper ones are present and I don't want to clutter the gdtf-share with ill-named profiles, how do I delete fixtures, that I created?

	Hi!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'm learning how to use the builder, practicing with a led par, "Fos IQ Par Zoom".
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I menaged to visually render mostly everything the fixture can do inside the console visualizer, it works fine.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Yet, despite my best efforts, I'm completely unable to visually render animated color effects (in this specific case, ch26 and ch28).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I read the gdtf help section and watched every training course on youtube (even one in portuguese, and I don't speak portuguese). Still unable to fix this.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any Help?

<p>
	<strong><span>Manufacturer:</span></strong><span> Nicols</span><br />
	<strong><span>Model:</span></strong><span> ULTRA FROST BAR</span>

	<span>At the moment, this fixture is not available in the GDTF Share library. It would be very helpful for users of GrandMA3, ChamSys, Onyx and other GDTF-compatible lighting consoles and software.</span>

<p>
	<span>Attached to this email, you will find the user manual for the Nicols ULTRA FROST BAR. It contains the DMX channel chart and other technical information that may help with the creation of an accurate GDTF fixture.</span>

	Hi everyone
</p>

<p>
	basically, when I try to duplicate and arrange a geometry reference that has Break 2 and a DMX channel set to Overwrite Break, the break value is not retained in the generated copies. I expect that if I have Break 2 on the original geometry reference, this value will also be retained in the duplications. However, once the duplication is completed, the Break field in geometry remains blank and must be filled in manually, which can be extremely slow on dozens of pixels.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you all.

	When writing a library for a multi-pixel device, e.g., a 21x21 RGB matrix, the device takes up over 1,300 channels. Is there any way to create something similar to a multipatch from the GrandMA system, but at the GDTF level, so that it would later be readable by GrandMA?

	Hello GDTF fam,
</p>

<p>
	I am trying to build a Rockville Motionstrip in 38 channel mode. I've imported the 3 different meshes used as 3DS files (the base, the axis, and the lamp--- the lamp is same mesh imported 8 times over, as this fixture has 8 lamps/pixels.) I've left physical descriptions and wheels blank, as I didn't believe that any of the information in these fields were necessary to create a functioning gdtf file with this fixture.
</p>

<p>
	Next, under DMX I patched this fixture according to this attached fixture profile at 38 channel mode: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.rockvilleaudio.com/content/Manuals/MotionStrip_Manual_OL.pdf
</p>

<p>
	I suspect the problem is in DMX, but I am also unsure if the problem lies in geometry/models.
</p>

<p>
	I did not write any info under macros.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	When I import this model in MA3 and attempt to use it in 3D, I am cannot tilt my fixture or turn on my fixtures lamps. I've attached the gdtf zip file If anyone is able to shed any light on this matter, it'd be much appreciated!

	I am having some trouble with this GDTF file for the Chauvet Storm 3 Beamwash-2.  I would like to use the Standard 35 Channel mode.
</p>

<p>
	When I pull the GDTF File into Vectorworks/Vision I have control over it but the color is always wrong.  The Mix colors do not work and the color is always the 2700K orange from the Color wheel.  If I use the Color Macro channel on my console the visualizer color will change with the Macro Color channel but it always over-rides the RGB channels.
</p>

<p>
	I have also tried this with the Basic 3 38 Channel mode and get the same result.
</p>

<p>
	For testing I used the Vectorworks fixture mode and then created the same light with the GDTF file from here.  I double patched them in the console to rule out any weird profile issues in the console.  The Vectorworks fixture mode works fine, and the GDTF profile is still orange.
</p>

<p>
	I am pretty confident there is an issue with the color macro on this profile.
</p>

<p>
	I edited the file and changed the color of the first slot on the color wheel from orange to blue, and now it renders blue all the time in vision unless I change the color macro channel.
</p>

<p>
	In theory a DMX value of 0 should cause the color wheel to have no effect and allow RGB mix to happen.
</p>

<p>
	How do can this be corrected on this file?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks for any help offered!
</p>

	Would be great if the editor would enforce that so the InitialFunction can properly be split as it is otherwise ambiguous.

	This might seem like crazy talk, but, is it an idea to have the 3D model of such fixtures that support it, change the pixel orientation as they do in real life, current work around would be the reference items XYZ mapped accordingly, but, maybe an option to switch the model out? I dunno, but with how complicated the fixtures are getting today and giving the operators the ability to change the pixel orientations, it would be cool to figure out a way for the 3D model to follow suit.
</p>

<p>
	Thoughts?
</p>

<p>
	Cheers!

	evening folks,
</p>

<p>
	for some reason the builder isn't exporting mesh geometry for me. Everything I do it always turns out to be the standard cube (with the measures of the mesh) once exported. I did check in Blender and MA3 with the same results.
</p>

<p>
	In the builder the geometry shows up just fine both with glb files (xported from Blender) and reimported files where a 3ds has been assigned to the fixture.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Maybe I am missing something as I am just deepdiving into gdtf but I am for sure stumped at this point. Any help is much appreciated.
</p>

<p>

<p>
	Cheers

	Hi All,
</p>

<p>
	I found a bug in the builder, similar to this one:
</p>
<iframe allowfullscreen="" data-controller="core.front.core.autosizeiframe" data-embedauthorid="383" data-embedcontent="" data-embedid="embed9921143906" src="https://gdtf-share.com/forum/index.php?/topic/1668-channel-sets-physical-values-reset-to-0-1/&amp;do=embed" style="height:215px;max-width:500px;"></iframe>

<p>
	When you copy a channel function from another page of builder (different GDTF) and paste in after a channel function you already have in a dmx channel all the channel sets phylical values are changed to the physical value of the channel function. If the copy/pasted channel functio hase physical values 0-90, all the channel sets inside this channel function will have 0-90 as for physical from / to, they lose their original physical values ranges.
</p>

<p>
	Could you please report this to the developers?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks.
</p>

<p>
	Best Regards.

	Hello everyone!
</p>

<p style="color:#b8c4cc;font-size:14px;">
	Is there a way that i can modify the spiider mode 1 profile so i can have pan and tilt control, control of the shutter and zoom in the 3 instances?
</p>

<p style="color:#b8c4cc;font-size:14px;">
	The reason for this is so i can have just the 3 zones in the layout view and just store the zones to groups so i dont have to grab the main instance every time i want to store pan and tilt and that i dont have to have a group with the main instance for recepies.
</p>

	Hi everyone,
</p>

<p>
	I found a bug in the builder. Channel set physical values are reset to 0-1 when the channel function comes from another channel using copy and paste of the channel function.
</p>

<p>
	Could you please submit this to the developers?
</p>

<p>
	Thank you.
</p>

<p>
	Best regards.

	I own a larger group of VDO AtomicDot CLDs . I'm programming with a grandMA3 console running the latest software version 2.1.1.5.
</p>

<p>
	AtomicDots have an Aura and a Beam. For practical reasons, I'd love to put those two sub fixtures into individual groups, "All Auras" and "All Beams". Now, in the current official GDTF file, Aura and Beam effects are bound to a single geometry, the Head. This makes sense, since they share the single DMX channel 8, although they actually invoke a split functionality across the two sub fixtures.
</p>

<p>
	The problem this causes is, that when I select the Aura sub fixture (without the main fixture), effects do not work, since they need to be invoked on the main fixture. (The same is true for when I select just the Beam sub fixture.)
</p>

<p>
	My idea of fixing this was, to create a modified version of the GDTF file with a Virtual Channel for just the Aura related effects and another Virtual Channel for just the Beam related effects. However, it unfortunately does not work at all as expected.
</p>

<p>
	My current work in progress is available here: <a href="https://rottmann.io/tacitean-tartarus-amboceptor-dateless" rel="external nofollow">https://rottmann.io/tacitean-tartarus-amboceptor-dateless</a>
</p>

<p>
	What I have done with the original vendor provided file:
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		Removed the individual Channel Functions and corresponding Channel Sets defined for the real DMX Channel 8.
	</li>
	<li>
		Renamed the single remaining Channel Function on DMX Channel 8 into "Aura and Beam FX". My thought was, that this will from now on be used as a conduit for the Virtual Channels.
	</li>
	<li>
		Added a Virtual Channel "Auras_Effects1" and added a relationship to "Head_Effects1_Aura_and_Bean_FX", which is the sole Channel Function on the real DMX Channel 8.
	</li>
	<li>
		As a start, defined two Channel Functions for the Virtual Channel and defined two Channel Sets.
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	My understanding of how GDTF works is as follows: If I now select the Aura sub fixture and pick a Channel Set from the Virtual Channel, it should send the corresponding DMX output to the related real DMX Channel 8. However, it does not. Instead, there is absolutely no output on that channel.
</p>

<p>
	Why? What am I getting wrong?
</p>

<p>
	I so hope you can help with this and look forward to your response or any further questions.
</p>

<p>
	Also, in the GDTF Builder, I see the strange notation "0/0/0/0" for 8-Bit values. What is that supposed to mean?

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	How can I make them disappear, or I did something wrong when I created the fixture?
