Add physical descriptions

Add the physical descriptions regarding the fixture’s emitters, color filters and spectral distribution.

Add emitters for devices with additive color mixing, i.e. LEDs.

Add color filters for devices with subtractive color mixing, i.e. discharge lamps with CMY filters.

When you add an emitter or a filter, the minimum is to define the color.

The spectral distribution is an additional possibility to define the emitter or filter more detailed.

Minimum definition of the spectral distribution is 100 % (LED full on or filter fully inserted in the beam).

Additional percentages can be defined.

Hint:
The tabs in the horizontal menu bar (Fixture, Geometry, etc.) are flagged with a green dot as soon as you change any value.
Hint:
Refer to the fixture's DMX table and identify the available emitters.

Add Emitters

Emitters window
  1. To add a new emitter, click Add emitter. Enter the emitter name.
Add emitter window
  1. To select the color, click the edit icon at the end of the line color.
    The color picker opens.
    Color picker window
  1. Click into the color picker or define the color by using the xyY or RGB values.
  2. Enter the Dominant wavelength.
  3. Enter the Diode part number.
  4. To define the Spectral distribution data, upload a csv file.
  5. Enter the Luminous Intensity in candela for the given percentage.
  6. Select the Interpolation scheme from the dropdown menu (linear, step, log).
Hint:
You can add spectral distributions for additional intensity values.

Add Filters

Filters window
  1. To add a new filter, click Add filter. Enter the filter name.
  2. To select the color, click the edit icon at the end of the line color.
    The color picker opens.
    Color picker window
  3. Click into the color picker or define the color by using the xyY or RGB values.
  4. To define the Spectral distribution data, upload a csv file.
  5. Enter the Transmission in %.
The transmission is the total amount of lighting energy passed through the filter at the given physical DMX percentage.
  6. Select the Interpolation scheme from the dropdown menu (linear, step, log).
Hint:
You can add spectral distributions for additional insertion percentages.
