Hey Y'all!

This might seem like crazy talk, but, is it an idea to have the 3D model of such fixtures that support it, change the pixel orientation as they do in real life, current work around would be the reference items XYZ mapped accordingly, but, maybe an option to switch the model out? I dunno, but with how complicated the fixtures are getting today and giving the operators the ability to change the pixel orientations, it would be cool to figure out a way for the 3D model to follow suit.

Thoughts?

Cheers!

Don't ColorForce series of fixtures have a Left--Right or Right--Left internal mode to 'swap' the 'patch' of the fixtures?  Would that be an example of such a request?

Ok, now I understand what you mean. It is not possible to change the pixel orientation dynamically at the moment. I have created a Feature Request also for this topic.

The solution I used for MA2 profiles, like the TurboRay was a rotate parameter with zero fade time as a parent for the instances. This does not work for all constallations, but it was the best workaround ?

re-defineArray();

re-defineMatrix();

re-definePatch();

...something, something, lol.

Bringing this back to life.  How to display the pixel orientation in a visualizer based on a control channel change.  Has this been implemented or worked around yet?

As control channel change is not persisting on DMX, one cannot use the Mode Dependencies structure for this, but a new geometrical tree with new pixel layout can be created to accommodate it, the device would need to be re-patched.
